Rewind!

I need the
REWIND
button!
Where did JULY go????

Here's a look back at our JULY!
Lots of time spent on this boat-riding, fishing, playing and soaking up the sun!

We rode out our first Hurricane at the beach!

Annual family trip to the Aquarium.
Always fun!

Spent a lot of time with sweet friends!

We had a great opportunity to hear Josh and his family's story.

Madison traveled to church camp and made it back safely once again.
She had a blast!

A little, "Paint and Praise" with our church youth group.

July was filled with cute summer outfits.

We've had a great time as a family!
Now we are going to try and savor these

Paisley & Tan Lines

What a beautiful glimpse into God's wonderful creation!
During the summer we try to spend as much time at the beach as possible.
It's our safe have...a place to rest & relax!

I found this dress at Old Navy and knew it would be great for
a casual evening out at the water.
I didn't plan on taking any pics, but thought this spot just down our
street would be great for pics and so this post was born!
Lots of options to add some bling and wedges or just keep it simple.
 The sky's the limit!

Please excuse the
TAN LINES!!!
The hubby took these pics after a wonderful day in the sun with the family!

I'm linking up today with some great bloggers!
and
to bring you...

#1)
Last week I blogged about a little boy that was diagnosed with cancer and all
he wanted was birthday cards.  Well, he celebrated his birthday on July 25th, but I'm sure
he won't mind if he still gets a few cards!
Click HERE for Danny's story and address.
Of course cards are not expensive; so make this little boy's day.
Send him a card, but most importantly...
PRAY FOR HEALING!

#2)
I stopped by Kirklands this weekend and found this cute fall banner.
Only $9.99
Perfect to hang on our door inside.

I hope you enjoyed a few of my favorite things!

Thursday it rained all day so these girls were super happy to get out of the house
for an evening of, "Paint and Praise" with our church youth group.
 A cute snapchat from Madison!
They were excited to paint!

Look at their artistic side shining!

 Finished product looks awesome!
I can't wait to put these master pieces up in their bedrooms!

My niece, Taylor and her boyfriend, Jeb all smiles while painting!

A huge thanks to this pretty lady, Sara for putting this event together.
My girls had a blast and I had fun eating the snacks!
Sara is so artistic...God has blessed her with a wonderful gift!
It was amazing to watch her help each person with their canvas.

After the painting we were planning on leaving for the beach, but
it was raining too hard.
We left Friday morning!
We couldn't get down there fast enough for this crowd because they were
ready to go out on the boat.
Madison tried "SKURFING" for the first time and she did great!

Bailey did the knee board a few times!
She's getting better every week.

 These girls went paddle boarding!
Oh...to be young again!

Bailey and I rode the tube!
Lots of fun!

On Saturday morning we went out for some breakfast
at the Carteret Cafe.
Bailey enjoyed her morning coffee!
She reminds me of my Dad...he always loved coffee!

We had a great weekend!

Fly a Little Higher

I have a wonderful book to share with you today!
Last week I was looking for a good book to read while shopping at Target
and happen to come across this one.
Let me just say...
This is a beautiful story written by the mother of a boy, Zach Sobiech who is diagnosed
with cancer.  She portrays what their life was like and how Zach chose
to live each day to the fullest.
The book is very sad at times, but such an uplifting story that makes you
value each and everyday!
Zach trusted in the Lord and no doubt he is
FLYING HIGH
with his mighty Savior.
Cancer really pulls at my heart strings.
My Dad died of cancer in 2010 and it was heart wrenching watching him
go through this disease.  My father-in-law has also suffered cancer, but
through many treatments and prayer he is now well.
Buy this book, read it, then hug your babies closer and pray for those
suffering with this awful disease.

I thought I would share this also.
Yesterday as I was scrolling through social media I saw a story that some
friends had shared of a 5 year old boy in Massachusetts suffering from an
inoperable brain tumor and also chemotherapy-resistant.
Is he precious or what!!!!

He can now recognize his name.
The mother, Carley Nickerson told ABC News he was so happy when
he saw his name on a package from magical fairies.
She says personalized cards make him very happy.
He will celebrate his birthday tomorrow, July 25th.
The family has opened up a PO Box to receive cards.

So, of course when I read this story I shared it with my girls and
we went to Walmart to purchase birthday cards.

Please take time to send Danny his simple little wish.

Our church had an awesome guest speaker Sunday evening.
Josh Weaver, a teenage boy diagnosed with a brain tumor that
underwent surgery and radiation is now cancer free.

Lots of Stuff!

I've got a lot of stuff to fit in today's post from our weekend.
On Friday we headed down to the beach for a quick one night trip.
Bailey asked her B.F.F. Emma to join us.
We went straight to the ocean as soon as we arrived!
It was a beautiful day.

The hubby picked us up on the Jeep so I of course took a selfie with these little ones in the back.
We got all cleaned up and went out for pizza!

Great evening with this crowd playing monopoly.
Bailey and I quit early on, but Emma and Trey toughed it out
with Gene.  Of course Gene won.
I mean... he is the only adult playing the game!

Our place is not far from Mc Donald's so these girls rode their bikes while
the adults rode the golf cart for a late night treat.
We came back Saturday afternoon to pick up Madison
She is finally home from her week at Cragmont.
We all were so happy to see her!
Here she is pictured with some dear friends from camp.

No one is more excited than Bailey to have her SISSY back!
Especially when she brings her back a surprise or
TWO!!!
Madison showered and then went out with a friend.
No fun hanging out with parents anymore!
 Doesn't this look fun???
The three of us got a bite to eat then went to Walmart.
Bailey thinks these gigantic shopping carts are the best.
I don't feel the same way so I ordered Daddy to push her and her friends around!

On the way out I thought why not...
I'll hop in the cart too!

At church on Sunday I thought my mother-in-law was
dressed so pretty I had to get a picture of her.
Well this one picture turned into a whole photo shoot.

 My mother-in-law, Mrs. Dora.
She looks stunning in this black dress with a pearl neckline.
Mrs. Dora and her husband and my father-in-law, Mr. Eugene
Still looking good after all these years!

Great picture that we will dearly cherish one day!
 Next up...
Madison and her "friend" Landon.
Such a cute couple!

My sweet Boochie, Bailey all dressed up in her palazzo pants.
She's been begging to wear these for several days!
CLICK HERE for a great site that has lots of palazzo pants for girls to choose from.

Gene and I with his parents.

Last but not least...
My niece, Taylor and her boyfriend, Jeb.

Yes, I like taking pictures!
You just can't have enough in my opinion!!

HAPPY TUESDAY!
