Cross Country Road Trip- Days 8, 9 & 10

I'm back today to finish up our
road trip vacay!

If you missed Days 1 & 2

If you missed Days 3 & 4

or If you missed Days 5, 6 & 7

Our next stop is ...

We took a quick stop to see the
Hoover Dam.
I was in total shock when we stepped out of the car...
the temperature was 100 degrees.
Much hotter than our last stop at the Grand Canyon.

The hubby wanted to get a closer look...
us girls stayed back in the truck in the air conditioning!

We arrived in Las Vegas and we were super excited!

First stop was
PAWN STARS!

Family selfie in front of Pawn Stars!

Next stop for the Hubby was
Rick's Restoration.
Another one of his favorite shows.

Finally made it to our hotel for the next 2 nights...
none other than

We freshened up and were ready to see what
VEGAS had to offer.
We walked the Vegas Strip, ate dinner, walked some more, shopped
and just took it all in.
A selfie in front of the Mirage.

You can't visit Vegas without going to a Casino.
Within just a few minutes of walking through a lady
won $100,000.

Next morning I woke up and headed to the
Fitness Center.
Very nice facility that had a nice view of the pool area.
Loved the, "Trump Treadmills!"

Hubby went and did his own thing while we went to the pool!

Later we went to the Stratosphere...

It was very high up and very scary...
we didn't stay up there long.

We did a little more shopping then came back for some down time at the pool.
Later we showered and had a little Pizza Pajama Party for our last night of
vacay before heading back home!

We woke up Saturday morning about 4:30 a.m. and left hotel around 5:30 a.m.
There were many beautiful sights on the trip home!

One of our bathroom stops in Colorado and you can see some snow in
the background.

We were happy to make it back to North Carolina.
We stopped for a late dinner at Bogart's in Waynesville.
It's one of our favorite places to eat.

A few hours later we arrived home about 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.
It was a trip of a lifetime that we will never forget!
We drove a total of 5,589 miles, way too many bathroom stops to count,
lots of family fun time and endless moments of laughter.

Thanks for stopping by!

Keep up with me everyday on

Cross Country Road Trip- Days 5, 6 & 7

I hope you are enjoying our
road trip vacation.
It's been so much fun seeing and taking in all
of God's beautiful landscapes.
We are now on to
Days 5, 6 & 7 of our road trip, but if you missed
Days 1 & 2
 or Days 3 & 4

We left the Pioneer Woman and got back on the road to head to
TEXAS!
But first we made a quick stop in Oklahoma City for the hubby to visit
It's a show that he watches so we stopped in for a quick peek!

We arrived in Texas!

We spent one night in Amarillo, TX.
Got up the next morning and surprised the girls by stopping at
Gene had gone the night before to purchase spray paints so we were
ready to leave our mark.

How cool is this?!
Bailey loved it.

I did too!

See our names...

Such a cool place... be sure to check it out if you ever get the chance!

It was back on the road to head to the Grand Canyon!
We went through New Mexico.

And finally... ARIZONA!
The scenery on our road trip was amazing!
So many beautiful sights to see!

We quickly checked into our hotel and headed straight
for the Grand Canyon.
The first stop we got to we could hardly wait to get out and look.
It did not disappoint!

It's beautiful everywhere you look!

Where we stopped there was a sidewalk and we began to walk
and saw this Elk.  We couldn't believe how close we were able
to get.

This was definitely the hubby's favorite part.
Check out the horns on this one!

Lots of beautiful pics to cherish our trip!

Someone was nice enough to take a family pic for us!

My girls are beautiful, but so is God's scenery in the background!

The next morning we got up and stopped at a little gift shop to
pick up a few souvenirs.
Hubby looking like Daniel Boone.

Here we are waiting for the shuttle bus.
I was worried about the weather or mostly the heat, but temps were in the mid 80's while we were there.  Very chilly in the mornings and evenings and comfortable during the day.  The week before temps were very hot.

On the shuttle bus.

Yes...we used the selfie stick again...

and again!!!!

Bailey got a Polaroid camera for Easter that she used to take
pics with.
Love this pic of her taking a pic!

More beautiful spots in the Grand Canyon.

Praying she remembers this trip forever!
We made some wonderful memories.

I know this one will remember our trip if nothing other than the laughs
we had in the truck about so many crazy things!

We visited the Watch Tower.

Great view!

Loved this little spot and the sign below...

The next morning Gene & I got up very early...like 4:30 to see the
sun rise over the Grand Canyon.

So glad Gene wanted to do this because it was breath taking.

Many tourists just like us gathered to watch, video and take pics of this
moment.

We rode around afterwards to take in as much as we could before we got back on the road...

We loved spotting the Elk.

The Grand Canyon is beyond beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by.
Come back to see where this road trip take us next!

Have a blessed weekend!
Keep up with me on INSTAGRAM.

XOXO,
APRIL
