Christmas Dance & Meadow Lights

It's always lots of fun to get dressed up during the holidays!
Madison and her boyfriend had a
Christmas Dance
to attend last night...
so that's just what she did!
Be prepared for lots of pics.
Are they a good lookin' couple or what?

Madison was so excited to dress up and go to the Christmas dance with Landon.

Bailey had to get a pic with the sweet couple and yes
my child is outside in the cold without shoes.

I just can't get over how beautiful she is!

Landon is so handsome and always has the best manners.

Daddy getting a pic with his baby girl.

I had fun watching her and Bailey get ready, singing songs while Madison curled her hair and
just watching Bailey adore her Big Sissy!

It wasn't long after these two left that Madison called me to let me know that a
deer ran out in front of the car and they slightly hit him...definitely enough to scare
us all.  So we headed to check out the damage and for Landon's parents to check on things.
So thankful they were okay...could have been so much worse.
The good Lord was looking out for them!

We recently traveled to see
Meadow Lights.
Group selfie on the train enjoying the beautiful Christmas lights.

Love these girls and spending time with them.

I posted this pic the other night of my comfy Christmas leggings.
So much fun...you need a pair! :)

Let's check in on Skippy and Ginger...
Bailey set out her mailbox playing the other day so Skippy and Ginger left her some
Magic Reindeer Food in it and a sweet note.

They brought back some snow from the North Pole.

Merry Thursday!

Olaf Fun!

On Friday, I went with Bailey on a field trip to
the Howell Movie Theatre in Smithfield to watch the Polar Express.
Bailey has seen the movie many times, but sad to say this was my first time
watching it.  We have the movie, but I've never taken the time to sit down
and watch it during Christmas.  Such a great movie! I really enjoyed it.
After the movie we ate at Cici's Pizza.
Then we left and went by ourselves to do a little shopping at the pottery.
Bailey spotted this cute decorative Santa hat.

Saturday morning we headed out to enjoy the
Kinston Christmas Parade.
Madison is working at Sweetiepies Cupcakery and
she dressed up as Olaf and rode in the parade then afterwards
they had a meet and greet with Olaf for warm hugs and pics.
Here we are patiently waiting on the parade.

Olaf(Madison) did great.  The kids loved it!
She danced and waved...very entertaining!

Time for warm hugs and pics with Olaf.

My turn! :)

We had a nice weekend.

Time to check in on those elves...
Skippy is stuck in our lantern full of ornaments and Christmas lights...
Ginger is just watching him get in a fix!

Skippy tied Olaf up in lights!

Be sure to keep up with me everyday.

On Wednesday, I had my 6 week post-op visit with  Dr. Barker and he seemed very pleased with
my results thus far.
I will continue physical therapy and just keep
my activity to a minimal.
Bailey went with me, but before we headed to the DR
we made a few stops.
We enjoyed bourbon chicken and rice at the food court.

Quick selfie to send to Sissy.
We then went to Build-A-Bear where Bailey
made Olaf.  Sorry I didn't get a picture.

Let's check in on Skippy and Ginger...
Skippy spotted a big buck with Bailey's binoculars
from the McDonald's happy meal.

Ginger had a cute little note for Bailey to find
5 candy canes.

That's all I've got for today!
Have a blessed weekend.

Daddy's Little Girl

The best feeling in the world is to know you are loved no matter what!
My Daddy lost his battle with cancer 4 years ago today and
he was a 100% the best Daddy!
He worked hard to provide for his family, loved my mom unconditionally and
was so much fun to be around.

This past Friday evening I dropped Madison off at volleyball practice and this Christmas song
came on the radio and the words have really stuck with me this week.
If you've ever lost a loved one...I'm sure you've wondered like myself
the very things this song is describing.
Watch Video

As I remember my Daddy and the wonderful man he was I can't help but feel
sad and upset.
After listening to this song it really made me think about how beautiful and
wonderful heaven must be and even more so at Christmas time!
It's an awesome feeling to know he's there experiencing it all!
Every day I find myself saying some things that he used to say or
realizing how wise he truly was.
I'm thankful for the little things and memories I'm left with.

Just recently while at my parent's home I found this
light up Santa that my Dad always put out in the yard during Christmas.
I absolutely loved this Santa and have vivid memories of him dragging it out
and placing it beside our front porch every year.
So I told the hubby about it and he surprised me by getting the Santa to our house
and lighting him up.
Not the best picture.
Of course we didn't put it at the front of our house, but I thought
in the back yard by the kid's play house would be perfect.
It's faded a lot, but it's sentimental.
I know my Daddy would love the fact that this little light up Santa meant so
much to me and now I have it in our yard for my girls.

Prayers to all those missing loved ones this
holiday season!
Take time this Christmas to spend some precious time with your spouse, mom, dad, grandparents, children and friends...
You never know what tomorrow may bring.

Love always,
Daddy's Little Girl

I love looking back at pictures of my sweet girls,
especially Christmas pics.
So let's see just how much these two have changed.
