Our CHRISTmas!

We had an amazing CHRISTmas!!!
I can't believe it's over!

Our sweet girls, Madison & Bailey make
the holidays so special.  I enjoy each moment that I get
to spend with them.

On Christmas Eve we headed to the in-law's for
our usual get together to eat and open presents.

Bailey and Uncle Jay enjoy some snuggle time!

Bailey asked for lots of books for Christmas and Santa delivered!

Merry CHRISTmas Eve!

Santa Claus is coming to town
TONIGHT!!!
My girls are so excited!

We found Skippy and Ginger playing the matching game this morning.

Aren't they sweet!

Bailey and her B.F.F. Emma began decorating a gingerbread house, but
it didn't keep their interest for long.
Madison quickly came to their rescue to finish.
She's still a kid at heart!

Christmas cards are a must around our house.
I love sending and receiving my cards during the holidays.
We don't do anything professional.  Just some quick pics that
we take ourselves at home.
This year I wanted to do something a little different and it was a success.
My husband would definitely disagree.
I wanted our pics in our Christmas jammies.
Hey, at least I didn't make the whole family do a video!
The hubby already had some red plaid lounge pants; so I went shopping to
find us girls pj's to match.

So on a Sunday afternoon around 5 o'clock we put on our jammies to begin taking
these memorable pics.
And it was just that...Memorable!
After struggling with the timer on the camera, the hubby and my girls....
the door bell rings and we have company!
So we had to take a short break and change clothes.
Well, my crowd thought we were finished, but OH NO!!!
We finished our pics that night around 9 p.m. and it was like pulling
teeth to get these done, but I did it!
I hope you enjoy these pics in our
Christmas jammies!

Things started out really nicely!

Thought I would get them to pose a little different!

It didn't take long for things to do down hill.

She loves her daddy!

So does this girl!

I made sure to send to all of my hubby's dear friends.
He received a lot of grief from this year's Christmas card!!!!

One more sweet pic before things fell apart!

Bailey didn't want to cooperate!

Finally, here is our finished product!
Merry Christmas from our home to yours!

Remember to share with your family the true meaning of CHRISTmas!
JESUS.
It can be found in your Bible in Luke Chapter 2.

There was 1; Now there's 2!

I bet you are wondering what I'm talking about.
There was 1; Now there's 2.
I'm talking about
ELVES!!!
Yep, that's right we have a new elf and
IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

So here's how it happened.
When we've been out and about shopping Bailey sees all
the different Elf on the Shelves and always comments on the
girl elves.  So I've known for awhile that she secretly wanted
a girl elf.  Of course there was no such thing as little girl elves
when our Skippy arrived in 2009.

So, I've been debating this for a couple of weeks and finally
decided why not!!!!
Our little lady elf arrived yesterday morning sitting side by side
with Skippy.

We think they might be boyfriend and girlfriend.
There are no words to describe how excited Bailey was when she came
down stairs to find Skippy with his new friend.
We quickly named her,
GINGER!

Skippy is a lot of work during Christmas and now I've added to the
chaos, but no doubt it's well worth it to see the look on my
baby's face!

This is such a fun tradition and now both of my girls will have an elf
to share with their children.

Before Ginger arrived Skippy was looking for a lady companion.
This is how we found him on Saturday.

Well, I think it's all worked out for the best; since Barbie has Ken.
If I had the choice between Ken or Skippy...no comment I think y'all know my answer!!!

*************************

I don't know about you, but I've been busy shopping and wrapping presents.
I'm ready for things to slow down a little so we can all enjoy
Christmas and what its' true meaning is.
JESUS

I encourage you to take time out to read in Luke Chapter 2 in the Bible of
Jesus's birth and be sure to share with your family.
What a great thing to do with your family this season.
Make it a tradition that they will always remember and
do with their family one day.

Luke 2:11

Have a Holly Jolly Monday!

Disney on Ice & A Christmas Dance!

Lots happening over here at the Parrish's.
Such a busy time for us and everyone!

Bailey had a field trip a few days ago with her 1st grade class to
DISNEY ON ICE.
We had so much fun.

Madison went to a Christmas dance last night and she looked amazing.
Madison and her friend, Madison got together to get ready.

Love this sweet pic of these two!
Worth a million dollars!

Let's check in on Skippy!
I think I've got some catching up to do since we last checked in on him.

Skippy is just hanging upside down on a Christmas ornament that Bailey made.

We looked everywhere on Friday for Skippy, but he was no where in the house to be found.
The girls and I headed to town to do some shopping and this is how Bailey found him-- buckled up
and ready to go!

Skippy was ready to bundle up and watch the Polar Express on a cold rainy Saturday!

Here Skippy is reading the Bible in Luke 2 all about the birth of Jesus!
So sweet when he wants to be!

Have a great Wednesday!

God Speaking

Last night we had our
Christmas Musical/Drama
at church called
GOD SPEAKING.
I had the joy of working with the youth, cast and our choir
director, Mrs. Barbara Callahan.

Mrs. Barbara began her journey back in July when the choir
began learning and practicing their songs.
My work didn't begin until around October when I began recruiting
our youth and various members to help with all aspects of our
musical/drama.  I am so thankful for each and everyone
that had even the smallest part.  It took all of us to
present this amazing play to our church.

God Speaking has beautiful music that really tugs at your
heart strings and makes you think that maybe
God just might be trying to tell you something.
It consists of two main characters, both men that
are struggling during this holiday season.
The first young man is up to his eye balls in debt and the second
is lonely due to the fact that he only gets to see his daughters a few days
 out of the month.
Regardless of your circumstances the music sends a message of love that
no matter what... God is there trying to get your attention.

What is GOD trying to say to you this holiday season????

Ms. Wanda,
she did a great job as our narrator.

My mother-in-law on the left, Dora and her sister, Faye
as choir members.

My two main characters, Matthew & Ray.
So proud of them both!

Emma & Bailey ready to do their part as shoppers!

Nicholas waiting patiently for his part.

Mrs. Joyce,
another one of our beautiful choir members.

Our Choir all dressed up!

Show Time!

Bailey as an angel.

All the beautiful angels came out to praise
Baby Jesus!

The Wade family representing Mary & Joseph, baby Jesus and a shepherd.

Our bell ringers made the play!
Here little Avery is participating in her first Christmas play!

I am so proud of Walnut Creek OFWB Church!
It was a great success!

I hope you enjoyed a little glimpse into our
Christmas Play.

Remember to open your hearts and be receptive to what
God is speaking to you!
